Driving a microcar without a car licence
In the Netherlands you can drive a microcar without a car licence. What you do need is an AM licence: the moped licence you can get from age 16.

Drive from age 16
An AM (moped) licence is enough — you do not need a full car driving licence.
Range of 100–120 km
Fully electric. Charges in 4 to 6 hours from a normal socket or public charger.
Registration handled for you
We take care of the Dutch RDW registration in your name, even at 16.
The AM licence involves a theory exam and practical training. After that you can take a 45 km car like the Quinto straight onto the road.
You may drive anywhere cars are allowed, except motorways. Insurance is mandatory and we register the vehicle in your name.
